The Alexa 265 from Arri is a compact, lightweight, 65mm-format digital camera system, featuring a 6.5K sensor with a 59.86mm image circle. One-third the size and weight of the original Alexa 65, and with a faster boot-up and reduced power draw compared to the earlier camera system, the Alexa 265 boasts 15 stops of dynamic range with an exposure index that’s adjustable in 1/3-stop increments from 160-6400. The electronic shutter is adjustable from 5.0-358° (or 1s to 1/8000s). Capable of capturing frame rates from 0.75-60 fps, the camera records ArriRaw to Codex Compact Drives using LogC4, Arri color management display render transforms (Rec 709, Rec 2020, Rec 2100 PQ, and Rec 2100 HLG), or custom color management.
